Safety first, always

If you smell gas: leave the house, then call the gas utility and 911 from outside. If a carbon monoxide alarm is sounding: get everyone out and call 911. We come after everyone is safe, not before. No repair outranks that order of operations.

The honest triage

Not everything is an emergency, and we won't pretend otherwise to charge you an after-hours fee. A system short-cycling on a mild evening can usually wait for morning and we'll tell you so. No cooling during a 105° stretch with kids in the house cannot, and that call jumps the line.

Two free checks before you call, from our check-first list: look for a tripped breaker sitting between ON and OFF, and pull the filter. If you can't see light through it, that alone can shut a system down. One in ten calls needs no technician, and we'd rather lose that call than charge for it.

Emergency questions, answered straight

What counts as an HVAC emergency?

No cooling in 100°+ heat, no heat with kids or elderly in the home, a gas smell, or a carbon monoxide alarm. The last two are safety events: leave the building first, call 911 and the gas utility, then call us. Everything else we triage honestly; plenty of problems are safe to wait a day, and we'll say so.

How fast can you actually get here?

Our emergency target is 90 minutes during business hours, and homes with no working AC jump the line during 100°+ weeks. After hours we aim to be there within 4 hours. About 80% of repair calls are fixed the same visit.

What does emergency AC repair cost after hours?

The same flat menu as a weekday, plus a flat $120 after-hours fee. No double time, no mystery math. The $89 diagnostic still applies and is still waived when you book the repair. Bloom Plan members pay no after-hours fee at all.

What should I do while I wait for you?

Close blinds on the sun side, run ceiling fans, drink water, and camp in the coolest room. Set the thermostat OFF if the system is blowing warm air anyway; running it broken can make some failures worse. If anyone in the house is elderly, an infant, or medically fragile, tell us when you call and we prioritize accordingly.

It's hot. Let's fix that.

Every call gets answered instantly, any hour. Tell us what the system is doing and who's in the house, and we'll tell you honestly how fast we can be there.
